The IP dust and water resistance level is a standard for the protection capability of the device shell established by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), usually referred to as the "IP level". Its English name is "Ingress Protection" or "International Protection" level. It consists of two numbers, the first number indicates the dust resistance level, and the second number indicates the water resistance level. For example: the protection level is IP65, IP is the marking letter, the number 6 is the first marking number, and 5 is the second marking number. The first marking number indicates the dust resistance level, and the second marking number indicates the water resistance protection level.

In addition, when the level of protection required is higher than the level represented by the above characteristic numerals, the extended scope will be expressed by adding additional letters after the first two digits, and it is also necessary to meet the requirements of these additional letters.
